Black Tides – Knighthood Help and Support

Greetings brave Knight,

Black Tides is a special event that was introduced on November 23rd, 2025. By entering the Sacred Portal, you will face and battle Militia and Outlaws enemies from the Black Tides to earn Event Points, which will grant rewards.

Enemies

In another realm, Captain Jeanne de Black and her crew sailed for Queen and country, mercilessly attacking and plundering the ships of rival nations. They weren’t common pirates, of course - they had state approval, and a royal seal. They were the Black Tide Privateers.

During their return journey from their latest successful mission, Captain Jeanne and the Black Tide crew were caught up in a sudden and unnatural storm. They sailed into it with gleeful unconcern - they were the Black Tide Privateers, and they feared nothing! Little did they realise that their lives were to change forever…

After battling their ship through a terrifying vortex, they emerged onto a calm sea… but under strange stars. After sailing for some time, they eventually came upon an unfamiliar island. Releasing their anchor, the crew went ashore, finding a beautiful - but seemingly deserted - temple. Amongst the sun-washed pillars, and faded painted murals of a beautiful woman and deadly looking seabeast, were mounds of treasure. Silver, gold, jewels lay in piles upon what looked like an ancient altar.

Never having been one to look a gift horse in the mouth, Captain Jeanne ordered her crew to start collecting the treasure, and to take it back to the ship - as privateers, extra income was always welcome, and it looked like the place had been abandoned for some time.

As they loaded their haul, their ship shuddered as the water beneath it roiled and churned. Suddenly, a huge shape burst from the waves - a living statue in the form of a beautiful woman.

“You have defiled a Temple of Oshian,” it said, its eyes glowing with white fire. “You have taken the offerings of Oshian’s faithful.”

Captain Jeanne’s eyes widened with shock (and if she’d care to admit it - which she didn’t - fear). She and her crew (the Black Tide Privateers) were brave, clever, and fierce, but had never come across an angry living statue in all of their travels. Statues just didn’t move where they came from.

After their 'accidental' pillaging of a seemingly deserted temple, the crew - and Bosun Hai in particular - incurred the wrath of the sea goddess Oshian. She cursed them into inhuman forms, condemning them to roam the seas until they prove their worth.

Now Jeanne’s crew sails through many realms, seeking not conquest, conversion, or revenge, but the chance to redeem themselves before the goddess - by challenging the strongest rivals they can find in (mostly…) friendly combat.

Keeping an eye on their progress is Oshian's ever faithful pet, The Leviathan. The Leviathan also judges the strength of the Black Tide's rivals, so prepare your Guild for a mighty encounter!

Heroes

Born into a life of privilege, the young Duchess Bonnie had everything a girl could want. Everything… except freedom, adventure, and the endless promise of the sea. After receiving a vision, Bonnie dedicated her life to Oshian, and set out to find new horizons. Blessed by the sea goddess, this Holy Rogue can Freeze your enemies with her Base Power, as well as generating Rage. She can pierce the armour of your enemies with her Rage Power.

Like Bonnie, Admiral Thaddeus was also born into an aristocratic family. As the oldest son, Thaddeus could have had an easy life, but instead decided that he wanted to serve his homeland, and became an officer in the navy. With an unbending moral code and commitment to the law, Thaddeus would defeat and capture any pirate - or rogue privateer - that stepped over the line. This Lawful Warrior Heals and Cures with his Base Power, and damages and Dispels with his Rage.
