Greetings brave Knight,
Do you long to see how good you are compared to other Knights instead of monsters? Are you looking for a really reliable source of minerals to power the Foundry forges? Then you need to get yourself over to the Arena.
The Arena currency is the humble ticket, which restocks once a day - you occasionally see extra tickets drop from Roaming Monsters as well.
Enter the Arena, and you will see three possible opponents. If you do not like the looks of them, you can re-roll at the cost of a few gems on the spot, or wait two hours and re-roll for free - but there is probably at least one opponent you have a chance of defeating. If you lose to the easiest opponent, the game will let you re-roll for free right away.
Tap the opponent to learn more about their gear and heroes, or tap the crossed swords under your choice’s name to get going. At the “prepare” screen, you have another chance to learn about what you are about to face, swap out your gear and Hero options, and Minions.
A Minion is a special helper who fights by your side in the Arena. They are captured around the world, showing up in random Hunts. Different Minions are captured when you wear different Gauntlets (when you look at one of your unlocked Gauntlets, tap the cage icon in the upper right corner to see what you are able to catch while wearing that particular item). If you capture a duplicated Minion, the game will automatically give you Minion food instead of the Minion, which you can use to power up your Minion before a tough fight.
Minions will each get one attack that will go off automatically when your four attacks are completed. Some minions have special attacks or abilities such as healing. You and your Minions can be targeted directly during the Arena battle and knocked out, but your Heroes will stay with you until the end. The same is true for your opponent, of course!
An Arena battle ends when you or the opposing Knight runs out of health, and then the rewards are handed out. Your Minions get experience, and you get Arena Crests even if you lose... just not as many as winning will get you! The Arena Crests are what you spend in the Arena Merchant shop. Also, if you win, you will make progress towards daily milestone rewards.
You will also gain or lose Ratings points, which affects your standings in the Tournament Leaderboard. You will get a weekly bonus prize of Arena Crests and gems depending on where you fall on the Leaderboard by the end of a Tournament season. Some customization items might also be waiting for you if it is the first time you achieved a certain rank.
I wanna be the best... around!
