Greetings brave Knight,
Not only you can count on your Guild's members for help, but you can also gather a party of Heroes that will empower you here and beyond!
To check all the Heroes that exist and how many you have collected, tap on the Knight icon in the lower right corner, and then tap on your Codex (“Heroes” just shows the Heroes you currently have active).
Heroes come in five different rarities, and are unlocked by collecting a specific number of Hero shards. Shards come from reward's chests and Hunts. To see where you can get the Hero shards that you wish to unlock, go to that Hero in your Codex, and tap the magnifying glass in the upper right corner.
Every Hero has two abilities: a base power and a Rage power.
As you swing your weapon or punch your enemies, the base power charges up (shown in combat mode with a little picture of the hero on the bottom right of the screen). When full, you may use one of your four attacks-per-turn to have your hero launch their base attack.
The Rage meter (the fist icon in the lower left of your screen during combat) charges differently depending on the gauntlet you are wearing, but it will always charge when you punch. When Rage is fully charged, tapping it gives you a choice between your two heroes.
Heroes have ranks, levels, and stars.
- Levels are earned with experience points. Your Heroes get experience points from each fight they complete with you - the more you use them, the stronger they get. You can also boost your Heroes by tapping "level up" and using experience scrolls, found throughout the world in chests, as rewards and at the Shrines of Heroes.
- Your first rank is earned when you collect enough shards to unlock the Hero. There is a maximum level the Hero can earn within a given rank, and when you reach the level cap for that rank, you can unlock more levels by tapping the “rank up” button. Ranking up requires tomes and drops, two materials that can be found in chests and as rewards, as well as available from the store and in-game merchants. If you do not have enough of the necessary materials, you can tap on the magnifying glass to find out where to get it.
- Stars are earned by continuing to collect Hero shards. Each star level offers a new big improvement to make your Hero into a fit companion for a Knight. Tap the star on the front of your Hero card to see what is in store once you have collected more shards.
Every Hero has an alignment and a class. These categories are used throughout the world, as each encounter has different requirements.
Alignments include Champion, Chaotic, Dark, Holy, Lawful, Logical, Maniacal, Maverick, Rebel, and Valiant. Classes consist of Alchemist, Hunter, Mage, Rogue, and Warrior.
