Greetings brave Knight,
The Battle for Glory is on!
Guild Wars nodes have two potential categories of rewards:
- Hold Rewards: These reward Guilds for maintaining persistent control over a node, and will generate rewards for the controlling Guild whenever a set amount of time has passed, at which point they can be collected from the node itself on the map. The time your Guild has possessed the node is cumulative, so even if your Guild loses control before generating a reward, if you reclaim it, the time you previously spent in control is added to your current control time.
Recent changes have meant that you can now collect any earned but unclaimed rewards from a node, even if it’s currently under enemy control - checkout the last release notes!
- Control Rewards: These generate rewards for Guilds that are in possession of the Node once the Guild War day ends (12 noon GMT). If they’re an ‘inventory’ reward, they will go to your inbox. If they are Glory, then it is simply added to your score.
As a response to player feedback about Control Rewards being unfair to players in certain timezones, we are currently experimenting with reducing the number of Control Rewards, so in the Unbound Realm 24 Guild War, you will not see any rewards going to your Inbox, as the only Control Rewards are Glory.
Warriors, charge forth!
