Dark Portal: Birthday Bash
This February marks our 5th Birthday! This Dark Portal will contain:
- Trolls & Militia as the enemies
- Thunk Skullsmasher as the boss
- Lanasa and Alder as the featured Heroes
- A variety of past Demongate goodies in Interplanar Trading Co.
Dark Tor 2025
The Inquisition are back in our sixth Dark Tor! Samael is back to help smash these zealots, helping you to earn:
- The Hexproof Armour Skin set
- The Hexproof Axe and Hammer Skins
- The Shining Zeal Hero Skin
- A variety of great new customisations!
Guild Wars
An absolutely charming war lies ahead!
- Charm-themed rewards, both on the map and the reward track
- Two Banner nodes
- Slight tweak to Hold Rewards:
- ‘Easy’ Hold Nodes will require 16 hours' control to generate the reward
- ‘Hard’ Hold Nodes will require 22 hours' control to generate the reward
Hero Changes
These tweaks are about making certain behaviours around status effects (including buffs and debuffs) consistent across the board.
Status Effects - tick downs
Status effects have sometimes behaved in inconsistent ways across the Heroes in terms of when their stack ticks down. We’ve made some changes to make this less of an issue across several Heroes. We’ve also given Anaara a small buff, extending her Protect stack, to hopefully make the early game experience a little more manageable for our newer Knights.

Status Effects and Minions
It’s been a bit inconsistent which Heroes buff Minions and which don’t. We’ve normalised buffing Minions across the board, so even our lower level Knights can benefit when they enter the Arena. Heroes changed are:

Hero Chest Changes
Our Unbound Realm Heroes, Freya (Legendary) and Rafael (Unique) have had their Shards added to the following Chests:
- Gem Chest (Freya only)
- Hero Chest (both)
- Deluxe Hero Chest (both)
- Event Hero Redux Chest (both)
- Legendary Heroic Chest (Freya only)
- Unique Heroic Chest (Rafael only)
Tweaks and Bug Fixes
- The Goblin Fleshcrusher will now only inflict one round of Dizzy, instead of three.
- Fixed issue with the Conqueror’s Throne Guild Hall Chairs
- Fixed issue with the Eternal Gatekeeper Pauldron spikes misbehaving
- Fixed issue with the male Knight version of the Icescale Breastplate’s belt
- Fixed issue with the Phoenix Guard Breastplate thigh
- Fixed anim issue with Ultra Karnage in his final cutscene
- Fixed anim issue with Tirna Fika’s final Mirefen cutscene
- Fixed issue with certain Expert Rift bosses only giving 500 Gold instead of 1000.
- Increase the stack size for Lawful and Logical Chests in the Karnheim Monster Cave from 1 to 3.
- Fixed incorrect upgrade cost on arms level 13 > 14.
- Various fixes and optimisations
